All writers have a mad mass of characters teeming in the backs of their minds, but in RP we generally partition our characters into settings and worlds, each to his own. Audeamus is a community made to give everybody a chance to have all those characters and settings in one place. It is not, however, pan-fandom. Not all of our characters will exist together, or even in the same universe. Some of them will, some of them won't; it's up to you. If a set of characters attempts to conquer the world via earthquake, whether you wish to acknowledge that storyline/characer(s) and/or participate is your choice.
The basic concept of this community, therefore, is to focus on writers instead of characters: Write who you want, when you want, how you want. The best method of collaboration is proposing something in the out of character community or plotting between yourselves rather than leaving hanging open posts in the RPG community, but it's not required.
