Blank, as he's been nicknamed, has always been a bit of a rabble-rouser and mischief-maker, getting involved in all sorts of petty trouble throughout his highschool years. A tendency for practical jokes and an exuberantly loud personality seemed to be the most of it, until he got involved in something a bit too large during the end of his junior year. A teacher's car ended up trashed, and he was suspended from his public school.
His father, Marshall, then decided that shipping him off to a private school would hopefully craft the troublesome boy into a more tolerable student, where he was free from his old friends and influences. His mother made a few unhappy noises, but in the end, had to agree that the decision wise. And Alexandria High, even though several hours away, seemed the perfect solution. Karen's niece taught at the school— in other words, Blank's cousin, Tifa.
A bit mortified about the results of his last stunt, Blank was more than happy to take the transfer. He had, besides, grown used to shuttling across the country and relocating schools as the family followed his father and his low-scale acting job. The moves usually never bothered him, since he loved meeting new people and plying his charms on them.
One would have thought Blank would have inherited a hatred of acting, with his father absent so much of the time — but the truth is that Blank would also skip out on school often, and go to wander around Marshall's unofficial 'workplace'. He grew up with a love of the stage, and Blank's sheer energy and enthusiasm is usually funnelled into theatre and acting.
This charisma is also quite useful when he's trying to talk his way out of a certain situation, naturally.
