GAME: Grimmingly
DESCRIPTION: Reincarnated fairytales.

CONCEPT: The Wild Swans is my favourite Grimm/Andersen fairytale. It just strikes me the right way: something in the way the king persists with the mute swan sister, and how she persists with her task for years on end, and how he builds her a replica of her cave just to make her feel at home. Naming her Cygna was a very blunt swan reference, but also a reference to one of my most beloved PC adventure games, Loom; the name of Bobbin Threadbare's mother was Cygna.
When I made this character for Grimmingly, I tapped into a character archetype that I'd visited before: the wry and intelligent Liv Tyler PB, with the love of tea, long skirts, and jazz music. I am happy to say that she finally got her full run at FT, and I'm fine with putting her back into the box.
