Pet: Great Grey Owl, "Goliath"
Blood: Muggleborn
Family: mother, father, brother Dominic (Gryffindor, 7th year)
History: The second of two sons born to the Welsh Llewellyn family, David followed closely on the heels of his brother Dominic in most things. Most primarily, in the ability to make things vanish around the house and random objects explode - in other words, the same ferocious magical ability that had earned Dom a place in Hogwarts. Despite not having any magical blood, both Muggleborn boys qualified for the school and with a year between the two, Dai was fascinated with Hogwarts and his older brother's life there. The moment he set foot in a wizarding lifestyle, Dai became enamoured with the sport of Quidditch, and now, five years later, he plays for the Hufflepuff house team with zeal - perhaps a little more than would be healthy.
Being a Hufflepuff, Dai is every bit the stubbornly loyal badger, yet a streak for trouble and high-spirited fun generally means his behaviour is a bit more loud, noticeable, and outspoken than some of his housemates.
Personality: A lot of people might call Dai daft. True, he's not exactly the most bookish of types, and his one true area of excellence is Quidditch. He's also best friends with Devon Gudgeon - and it shows. He's off-kilter and insane in the same way that the Gudgeon brothers are, and Dai's gotten into more than his fair share of trouble as a result of it.
Plainly put, though, the boy cares. His way of silly behaviour and inane jokes is a technique to get people laughing, and keep them happy. In a tight spot, he's more than willing to, and surprisingly good at, offering advice… just as long as the situation doesn't apply to himself. Dai's main method of dealing with his own problems is to laugh them off, and ignore them for as long as possible.
Being completely Muggleborn, Dai has bumped heads with prejudiced Slytherins every so often. He's learnt to stay away from them, and try his hardest not to cause any arguments. If it came to it, though, his rarely-seen anger would probably flare up like a mad badger. He hates people judging him over his blood status. He figures, once he's a professional Quidditch player, blood won't matter one bloody bit.
And a Quidditch player is what he wants to become. It's what he's good for, after all. Having been raised a Muggle, the sport has held such fascination and awe for him ever since he first encountered it: Dai's been playing as Hufflepuff Chaser ever since he could.
He feels a bit guilty over continuing to play Quidditch since his brother, Dominic, no longer can (following a grievous accident). But the game is his life, and he'll keep doing it. The two brothers are extremely close, and rarely ever experience the sibling squabbles that are supposedly so common.
Friends should never call him David. That name is reserved for family members, and for when you're really, really pissed at him.
Relationships: Dai's a charmer. He has friendly, easygoing friendships with almost everyone he knows, and he flirts and teases incessantly. He loves making others blush. Yet despite his flirtation with practically any female, usually no specific girl manages to make him look twice and seriously consider a relationship - and he hates admitting it when one manages to do so.
He was together with Adrianna Baptiste from third year into fourth, and casually dated Jo Morgan for a bit after that, plus a couple casual Muggle girlfriends, but no real relationship since then. Until he recently got together with the Ravenclaw Shea Lancaster. Thanks to her influence, he's been getting a bit more serious, and looking at things a little differently.
Friendship-wise, he clicks with practically anyone.
Devon Gudgeon, Davy Gudgeon and Frank Longbottom (it's a big question of why Frank puts up with him, really)— are definitely his best mates, along with his older brother Dominic Llewellyn. Dai gets along extremely well with Sadie Halifax, and he's also her favourite Quidditch partner of choice. Dai is also fond of Edgar Bones, who is something like a not-so-good rolemodel for him.
Sarlic Crabbe is undoubtedly his favourite Slytherin. He's still on perfectly good, friendly terms with Adrianna, and will enjoy joking around and talking with her anytime, as well as Kyleigh McKie. Ada Blake is arguably one of his best friends now, despite being a shy little Ravenclaw in fifth - he's one of very few people who could break her wall of timidness.
He gets along rather well with Gill Clarkson, despite the girl getting over her crush on him.
Ancient Runes is his favourite class, if only because he gets to mess around with professor Artois' mind without being reprimanded.
