Personality: "Jaded" is the perfect word to describe Lulu. She hardly exhibits much enthusiasm for the world, instead watching it pass by and offering caustic, biting commentary upon what she sees. Nowadays, she lives only to propel herself from one moment to the next, and one day to the other. She has a certain apathy towards her long-term goals, and dislikes considering her future, preferring instead to live in what she can see and experience now.
There is, however, a warmer side to the woman. She watches over Yuna's well-being like a hawk, mothering the younger girl. She also enjoys making sure that people are alright — if someone seems to be going through some trouble, she'll take her time to offer some sage advice, if she has any at hand. And with friends, her cool facade often softens slightly, displaying her more comic side; Lulu can be silly at times, yet usually in her characteristically deadpan manner.
However, she's become considerably more open since speaking to Wakka about their problems. She's decided to allow herself to become closer to people, and experience the full gamut of human emotion, rather than the isolated selection of the past few years.
Interests: Coffee. Pissing Clyde people off. Plush animals. Dark purple. Relaxing music. Eating cherries. Belts. Walking in the park. Reading. Snarking.

Capnias is Latin, and literally means 'smoky'. It is also a type of grey, smoky-looking stone.
B A C K G R O U N D
Family: Her family relations are strained; her mother packed up and left years ago, neglecting to bring the nine-year-old Lulu with her. This experience didn't bring her any closer to her rarely-present father — on the contrary, it pushed the two apart. Dinners are always spent together, but are frostily cold. There is no dislike in the family… only disinterest, as her father is immensely apathetic and she seems to have inherited some of her personality from him.
Friends: Perhaps missing a mother of her own, Lulu likes keeping younger female students under her wing, unofficially looking out for their well-being, and playing matriarch of AHS.

School: Already a year older than her classmates, Lulu was forced to repeat as a sophomore last year due to terrible grades. This finally caught her father's attention, and he considered removing her from AHS — before she eventually convinced the man that she would do better next time around. Now, in her own off-hand, lazy way, she's trying to pass so she can finally become a senior.
Work: Lu works at the Book Nook, grudgingly dealing with customers and doing all the regular stuff. Sorting out inventory, ticking her way through the computer system, etc. Hey, at least the work is calm enough, and she gets to relax and read when there are no customers around.
