WELCOME TO NEOPOLIS: America's Home Sweet Home for the super-powered, science-powered, and generally not-so-human. The year is 2009, and tensions between the city's two rival factions have risen to a boiling point. On one side, under the guidance of the nefarious Dr. Horrible, the Evil League of Evil continues to plot dastardly deeds, while the Band of Heroic Heroes (led by Neopolis's mayor, Mayor Marvelous) has made it their sole mission to interfere with the League's dirty plans.
The only problem is that in Neopolis, with no humans to either terrorize or save, the lines between good and evil have become decidedly blurred.
Members of the Heroic Heroes have been seen terrorizing Evil League children on the street.
Teenage gang wars plague the city - but instead of guns, these gangs use freeze rays, laser beams, and magic wands.
And worst of all, rumors fly on both sides of mysterious plans of great destruction - with such a power to completely wipe out all of the villains, all of the heroes, or - possibly - all of mankind.
And so the time has come to make a change.
On January 1st, 2009, the President of the United States summoned Mayor Marvelous and Dr. Horrible to the Oval Office. After several days of heated discussion, a solution was created: there would be a school. A trade school, where Neopolis teenagers would come together - hero, villain, and in-betweens alike - to learn how to be capable, contributing members of Neopolis society. A school that would teach tolerance and understanding, in hopes of making the world at large a safer place.
